SELECTION

The position is filled by the Harrison County Board of Education upon the recommendation of the superintendent.

SALARY AND

Salary based on teacher's salary schedule.

EMPLOYMENT TERM

Ten months, 200 days

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

1. Participate in monitoring, consultations and direct services as directed by the Physical Therapist. 2. Responsible for engaging the student in purposeful activities related to intervention goals and objectives. 3. Inform Physical Therapist of changes and provides current data regarding student performance in therapy. 4. Maintain appropriate persona physical therapy student file with data regarding treatment, evaluation(s), IEP's and performance. 5. Observe and assist in administration of standardized tests, criterion reference tests, clinical observations tools and other evaluation techniques as appropriate. 6. Alert Physical Therapist to changes in students that might warrant re-evaluation and tracts the need for triennial re-evaluations. 7. Assist the Physical Therapist in the IEP process. 8. Responsible for demonstrating service competency performance skills to the Physical Therapist. 9. Responsible for becoming a Medicaid Provider and completing the required forms and paperwork to bill Medicaid for eligible evaluations and therapy sessions. 10. Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the Supervisor of Pupil Services or the Superintendent may from time to time assign
