Wyoming Child & Family Development, Inc. Glenrock Center is now scheduling interviews for a Paraeducator HS/Center Technician. This is a Full-time position for 40 hours a week 233 days a year. We offer a complete benefits package, no weekends, and most major holidays off as well as an extended winter break. Job Summary-Paraeducator HS:
In this role, you will help create a safe and supportive environment for children from three to five years old, where they can explore, learn, and build trusting relationships. You will work with the Lead Teacher to get materials ready and set up the classroom. You will also provide individualized care to meet the needs of each child and family in our Head Start (HS) program with the overall goal of social competence and school readiness for each child.
Job Summary-Center Technician:
The Center Technician serves as the first point of contact, answering phones and warmly greeting children, families, and community members in a professional and welcoming manner. The Center Technician is responsible for managing office supplies, maintaining an adequate inventory of forms and materials, ensuring office equipment is properly maintained, and handling both routine and newly assigned administrative tasks to support the Center's daily operations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work effectively with families and children from three through age five, providing a welcoming and supportive environment. Should demonstrate an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood education principles. Must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals and personalities. Strong communication skills are essential to interact with staff, children, families, and the broader community. Must have effective stress management strategies and the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations. Flexibility is key; the ability to adapt to changing daily routines is required. Bilingual candidates are preferred. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse families, community groups, and staff in a professional and respectful manner. Proficiency in secretarial and office procedures, including business correspondence, organizational skills, and the operation and maintenance of office equipment.
Education and Experience:
Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D. and be 18 years of age (state requirements). Must obtain a Child Development Associate Credential within a specified time frame. Training and support will be provided by WCFD. Must attain additional training or certifications, which may be required by Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc. WCFD will only accept college degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
