Job Description

Nurture foundational skills and confidence at the very start of the learning journey. Do you love working with young children and helping them build the early academic and self-regulation skills that set the stage for lifelong learning? We are seeking warm, reliable educators to provide in-home academic support for students in Pre-K through 2nd grade across the Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley areas. Our whole-child approach focuses not only on academic success, but also on developing confidence, curiosity, and independence. This part-time role is ideal for experienced early childhood educators who enjoy creating meaningful connections with students and families. Hours will build gradually based on your availability and client needs, typically ranging from 5-10 hours per week during after-school and early evening hours. What You'll Do:
Provide 1:1 in-home support in early literacy, number sense, and foundational academic skills Use hands-on, play-based, and age-appropriate strategies to engage young learners Support language development, phonemic awareness, and beginning reading and writing Introduce self-regulation tools and simple executive function strategies (e.g., routines, transitions, following directions) Foster confidence, independence, and a love of learning Collaborate with parents to support consistent routines and learning strategies at home Communicate regularly with families about student growth and goals
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree or higher (Education or Early Childhood emphasis preferred) Teaching experience with Pre-K to Grade 2 AZ teacher certification Deep understanding of early literacy and numeracy development Ability to create a nurturing, engaging learning environment Training in executive function or early childhood self-regulation support is a plus Whole-child, student-centered mindset Strong communication skills and family partnership approach Reliable transportation for in-home sessions Valid fingerprint clearance card (or willingness to obtain) How to
