We provide small-group instruction in a supportive, structured, and student-focused learning environment. Position Overview We are looking for an energetic, responsible, and creative English teacher to work with upper elementary students in Grades 5-6. The ideal candidate should be passionate about helping students improve their reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys teaching small groups, creating engaging lessons, and helping students build confidence in English. Subjects Reading Comprehension Grammar Vocabulary Writing Short responses and paragraph writing Academic study skills Qualifications Bachelor's degree strongly preferred Minimum 1 year of teaching, tutoring, or classroom experience preferred Strong English language, reading, grammar, and writing skills Ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively Creative, engaging, and structured teaching style Excellent communication skills Patience, responsibility, and enthusiasm for working with students Strong punctuality, reliability, and professionalism Must be able to pass a background check Responsibilities Teach English lessons to 5th and 6th grade students using our curriculum Lead small group classes of approximately 4-12 students Support students with reading comprehension, grammar, and writing assignments Help students improve sentence structure, paragraph writing, and critical thinking skills Track and document student progress Provide individualized support when needed Maintain a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom environment Schedule Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM
  • 12:00 PM Approximately 12 hours per week Additional hours may be available depending on enrollment and program needs Compensation $20
  • 24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Location In person Best Learning Center 307 N.
