Our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential through tailored, one-on-one educational support. We handle the logistics—from student matching to payment processing—so you can focus on what matters most: helping students succeed. If you're passionate about education and ready to make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you. About the student 7th grade student, 6th grade level The student needs to work with a tutor for math & ELA skills. The student has ADHD and autism. He can talk a little but is basically non-verbal. He uses a keyboard to communicate. The family is asking for a tutor with special education experience to work with the student. They would prefer a tutor who has experience working with non-verbal students. They would like a patient tutor who can be like a big brother/sister to the student. The student is attending 7th grade at Alvarado Intermediate School in Rowland Heights. The student did not attend school for the past 2 years. Mom says that he is bright and was able to teach himself a lot of things. He knows double digit math (self taught), can read, and has written novels. Mom thinks that the student is probably closer to a 6th grade level in math & ELA. Mom has been working with the student and she also hired a tutor last year. Together they were able to help the student get a little more caught up & closer to grade level but he still has some big knowledge gaps. Mom is concerned that he never really learned some of the core subjects/concepts. Mom wants to hire a tutor who can help the student work to his full potential. He picks things up quickly and the school has not given him challenging work. School will be getting out on 6/3 but the student has to attend a special one month summer school extension to get more caught up. Mom wants to start the tutoring sessions now to help the student get to grade level sooner & increase the number of tutoring sessions once school is out. The goal is for the student to work with a tutor one-on-one to help him get caught up to grade level (end of 7th/beginning of 8th grade) as well as challenge him to work to his full potential. The family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week during their available times. They are available Monday 4pm-5pm, Wednesday 6pm-8pm, and Saturday 10am-12pm. Once school is over they may increase the number of sessions to 3-5 times a week. (They have limited availability as student is doing occupational therapy 3 times a week for 3 hours per session.) The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in Irvine in the Portola Springs neighborhood not far from Plateau Park at Portola Springs.
