Role:
As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in
Los Angeles, CA Details:
In-Person Tutoring in
Los Angeles, CA Schedule:
25 hours a month; 5x a week , 1hr 15mins Pay rate ranges from $25-$35 per hour
Ideal Candidate:
Fluent in both English and Spanish (required) Experience supporting students with intellectual disabilities and IEPs Strong understanding of foundational literacy and math instruction Patient, encouraging, and skilled at adapting instruction to individual learning needs Familiar with strategies that support reading comprehension, language development, and foundational math skills Able to create engaging, structured lessons that promote confidence and academic growth Experience working alongside speech and language goals is preferred Strong communication and rapport-building skills Comfortable providing individualized instruction and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one academic support in foundational literacy and math skills Strengthen reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and overall literacy development Reinforce foundational math concepts, number sense, problem-solving, and basic operations Incorporate language-support strategies to complement speech and communication development Utilize engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the student's learning level and interests Adapt instruction to meet the student's individual needs and pace of learning Build academic confidence through positive reinforcement and consistent support Conduct an initial assessment to identify skill gaps and develop targeted learning goals Maintain a structured, supportive, and encouraging learning environment Why Tutor Me Education?
