Part-time English teacher About Our Family We are a homeschooling family with five children (ages 10, 7, 4, 2, and an infant). Mom is home full-time and actively teaching, especially the younger children. We are looking for a capable, confident tutor to support our older two children—particularly our 10-year-old son who has ADHD. I need someone that has Primary Responsibilities Provide academic support for homeschooling 4 children, especially a 10-year-old boy with ADHD and a 7-year-old girl Help keep lessons on task, structured, and completed within set timeframes Support math learning (strong preference for someone who enjoys and is confident in math) Assist with reading, writing, and general homeschool assignments as needed Use firm but calm authority—clear boundaries, consistent expectations, and positive reinforcement Help develop focus, follow-through, and work stamina Communicate clearly with mom about progress and challenges Ideal Candidate Has experience working with children with ADHD, executive functioning challenges, or behavioral needs Comfortable being firm, structured, and directive (without yelling or harshness) Enjoys teaching and can keep kids engaged Strong in math (at least elementary to early middle-school level) Bonus (not required): Piano knowledge or ability to support basic piano practice Familiarity with or openness to Catholic catechism lessons and faith-based learning Background in education, special education, behavioral therapy, tutoring What This Is / Is Not ✅ This is a focused academic support role ✅ This is working alongside a present parent We are specifically looking for someone who can help a bright child with ADHD succeed through structure and accountability.
