Our company started as a tutoring company, and over the years, we have evolved into a comprehensive, full-service Educational Consultant serving over 300 School Districts. We provide Academic Tutoring and Instruction for students in Regular Education Classes as well as Special Education Classes. We are proud to be a California Department of Education (CDE) Certified Non-Public Agency. All services are provided in person, one-on-one, at the student's home or a public library (at the parents' choice) . Our General Education team is looking for enthusiastic Academic Tutors who are eager to tutor students in the following subjects: English Language Arts, Reading Comprehension, Math, and homework help. Students range from K-12th grade and are located in or near Antelope Valley / Palmdale, CA. Our tutors can earn $23-$30 per hour depending on education, degrees awarded, and professional teaching/tutoring experience. Tutors in California are part-time employees and are reimbursed for mileage and travel time while on-the-clock (session to session only) . Administrative time is also provided.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree (must be awarded) Must pass and clear a CA Live Scan (background check) Provide a Tuberculosis clearance (under 4 years old) upon hire Minimum of 1 year of paid professional teaching or tutoring experience Excellent communicator and problem-solver Must be comfortable tutoring multiple grade levels and subjects within K-12, depending on student assignment. Ability to provide homework help Must have consistent after-school and/or weekend availability. (Minimum of 4 days) Ability to tutor in-person at the student's home Motivation and passion to help our students achieve academic excellence

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions within the students' homes to enhance students' understanding of English, Math, and other general subjects. Assist students with homework and improve their testing scores by enhancing their overall educational skills and ability to understand lesson plans and materials. Utilize learning technologies to facilitate effective teaching and track student progress. Manage one-on-one classroom dynamics and maintain a positive learning environment. Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages students to express themselves and develop critical thinking skills.

The logistics:

Our tutors and families work together to finalize a consistent weekly schedule. PTA provides materials to our tutors, and we closely follow California Common Core State Standards to ensure our students excel academically. Our students receive online pre- and post-assessments to track their academic progress. Tutoring sessions range from an hour to two hours maximum. Our tutors can work up to 25 hours per week. This is strictly an in-person, part-time, W-2 employee position. Virtual-only applicants will NOT be considered for this posting. I'm perfect for the team! How do I apply?
