Based on experience and credentials Overview We are seeking a patient, engaging, and experienced Chess Tutor to provide in-home instruction for an 11-year-old student in Pasadena. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching chess to children, can tailor lessons to varying skill levels, and is committed to fostering both strategy and confidence in a supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver structured, age-appropriate chess lessons Tailor instruction to the child's skill level and progress Emphasize strategic thinking, patience, and good sportsmanship Track progress and adjust lessons accordingly Encourage a positive and stimulating learning experience Communicate updates and feedback to the parent as needed Understanding of chess strategies and child development Local to Pasadena, CA or surrounding neighborhoods is strongly preferred.
