Part Time Math & Reading Tutor for Kumon Kumon Math and Reading Tutoring Center - 3.9 Santa Clara, CA Job Details Part-time From $19 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Teaching math Calculus Parent communication High school diploma or GED Working with children Working with students Algebra Full Job Description We are seeking a reliable, motivated individual to assist with high school-level math and reading students at our Santa Clara center. In this role, you will support daily operations by guiding students, grading assignments, and handling light administrative tasks. This is a permanent, part-time position ideal for high school seniors, college students, or anyone with strong advanced math skills who loves working with children.
Responsibilities Instructional Support :
Guide students through high school-level reading and advanced mathematics, including Algebra and Calculus .
Grading :
Accurately grade student homework and classwork according to standard Kumon methods.
Center Operations :
Assist with minor administrative duties, center organization, and data entry.
Student Engagement :
Maintain a positive, focused, and encouraging learning environment.
Job Requirements Aptitude :
Advanced proficiency in high school-level Math (up to Calculus) and Reading.
Communication :
Excellent interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff.
Attitude :
Friendly, patient, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
Education :
High school student, college student, or equivalent background.
Experience :
Previous Kumon experience as a student or assistant is highly preferred but not required.
Hours & Availability Weekly Hours :
12-20 hours per week.

3:00 PM - 7:00
