In-person (student's home) Position Overview Thrive Education Partners is seeking an exceptional, credentialed educator to provide individualized kindergarten readiness and enrichment support for a young learner in Spring Valley, CA. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly qualified early childhood or elementary educator who is passionate about foundational learning and skilled at creating engaging, play-based educational experiences. They are seeking an educator who will serve as a thoughtful partner in fostering both academic readiness and a lifelong love of learning. The ideal candidate holds an active teaching credential and brings deep expertise in early childhood development, kindergarten readiness, and foundational literacy and numeracy instruction. They will thoughtfully balance academic skill-building with creativity, exploration, and joy. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver highly engaging, developmentally appropriate one-on-one lessons Build foundational literacy, numeracy, and kindergarten readiness skills Support social-emotional development, independence, and school confidence Incorporate play-based learning, sensory activities, and hands-on exploration Differentiate instruction based on the student's readiness, interests, and learning style Foster curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning Maintain clear, consistent communication with parents and the Thrive team Create a warm, structured, and nurturing learning environment Required Qualifications Active teaching credential required (Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field strongly preferred) Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching or specialized tutoring experience with young learners Demonstrated expertise in kindergarten readiness and early elementary foundational skills Strong knowledge of child development and play-based instructional practices Excellent communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the student's home Ideal Candidate Experienced classroom teacher, reading specialist, or early childhood educator Skilled at balancing structured instruction with child-led exploration Confident partnering with highly engaged families Warm, polished, and highly professional Committed to consistency and long-term student growth
