Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic educational team as a Lower Level Test Prep Tutor and inspire students to achieve their academic goals! In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging instruction tailored to students preparing for standardized tests at the elementary and middle school levels. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help build confidence, improve skills, and foster a love for learning. Duties Deliver engaging, interactive tutoring sessions focused on foundational skills in math, reading, and writing to lower-level students preparing for standardized tests Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs Utilize various learning technologies and educational resources to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting instruction accordingly Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, focused learning environment Collaborate with parents, teachers, and program coordinators to support student success and address specific learning challenges Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and session notes Requirements Prior classroom experience or tutoring experience working with elementary or middle school students Strong knowledge of math, reading comprehension, writing skills, and test-taking strategies for lower-level standardized exams Proficiency with learning technology tools used in educational settings Excellent presentation skills with the ability to motivate and engage young learners Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse learning styles Knowledge of classroom management techniques and special education accommodations is a plus Effective communication skills for working with students, parents, and team members Join us in empowering students through energetic instruction that makes learning both fun and effective! Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Education, Mathematics, a STEM field, or a related discipline Exceptional confidence and proficiency in mathematics instruction Prior experience tutoring ISEE, SSAT, HSPT, SAT, ACT, or similar standardized examinations Experience working with high-achieving students and families seeking competitive school admissions Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Deep understanding of standardized test-taking strategies and exam formats Knowledge of ISEE, SSAT, and HSPT content areas and scoring methodologies Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, engaging, age-appropriate manner Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to motivate students and build confidence while maintaining high expectations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Ability to establish trust and rapport with students and parents Compensation $35 per hour plus bonuses Performance-based bonuses Opportunity for additional hours and professional growth 401K with 4% match after 1 year Why Join Us?
