Position Description:

We are seeking a part-time, in-person Elementary Tutor to provide group and/or 1:1 tutoring instruction in English and Math during day-time hours and/or evening hours (depending on your availability) +

Location:

Various locations across New Castle County +

Type:

Part-time +

Schedule:

Flexible; We are looking for a tutor who can support for less than 10 hours a week between 8AM - 3PM and/or 3:30PM - 7:30PM, depending on your availability +

Travel:

Tutor may be traveling to different locations across New Castle County to provide tutoring (for example, in schools or libraries) Why join our team: + Competitive hourly rate based on experience + Flexible part-time hours + Flexibility to build creative, engaging lessons and professional autonomy within a supportive environment + Referral program incentives + Supportive and engaging work environment What you'll do: + Provide 1:1 or small group tutoring for instruction in elementary reading and math in a school setting or other location. + Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles + Use creative, hands-on approaches to make reading and math engaging and relevant + Maintain accurate documentation of student's sessions and progress + Communicate with parents regularly and student's teacher as needed + Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences Your qualifications: + A minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience with elementary-aged students (excluding student teaching) + Bachelor's degree required + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level. + Ability to manage student(s) in group setting + Ability to travel to different locations in New Castle County (like schools, libraries, etc.) By submitting my application, I certify that the information I have provided in this application is true and complete.
