Job Description

The Math Tutor is responsible for creating a positive, personalized learning experience for middle and high school students through high-quality instruction in core math subjects and standardized test preparation. Essential Job Functions Instruct students in middle and high school math concepts (including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus) and SAT/ACT math content and strategies. Use provided program materials and diagnostic results to guide instruction and ensure alignment with learning goals. Record student performance and progress after each session. Encourage and motivate students using positive reinforcement and goal-oriented communication. Support student accountability by helping them develop study skills, test-taking strategies, and a growth mindset. Knowledge and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of three years of college-level math coursework. Experience with SAT/ACT math content and test-taking strategies strongly preferred. Skills and Abilities Proven ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students to learn challenging math concepts. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain material clearly and patiently. Reliable, professional, and committed to student success.
