Requirements/Eligibility:

Required:
Taken and passed all college level math courses up to Calculus 1 with no less than a B. Holds a valid Florida Teacher Certification in Mathematics 6-12 or has significant experience working with students grades 6-12/test prep (SAT, ACT). Is familiar with SAT/ACT test format and comfortable tutoring for the Math section (familiarity with reading section is optional but added bonus). Pass a background check ​ Math Tutor (College Courses)
Required:
Taken and passed all college level math courses up to Calculus 3 with no less than a B Has experience working with students. Pass a background check ​ Important details/expectations: Compensation/time commitment : $27-$32/hr. The exact rate will depend on the level of education and experience. There may be a few paid workshops/team training and meetings throughout the semester. Tutors will set their own schedule during the school year but summer hours are fixed (see below). If selected as a tutor, you must be able to show proof of passing courses (via transcript) or teacher certification (Math K-5 and Math 6-12 tutor positions).

July 2, 2026. We have a 3 summer programming coming up with a local nonprofit , She MATHS. This requires tutoring 3-4x/week in person at Miami Dade College Eduardo Padron Campus in Little Havana Area. After the summer program, tutoring location/hours will be based on individual clients (mutually selected location between client and tutor) and any group contracts received. Availability & Work Hours. That means that hours may not be consistent every week. You should have a minimum availability of 10 hours per week. However, you may tutor 0 hours one week and 10 hours the next week. It is all based on what the clients need and overall client flow in the business.
Location:
Outside of our 3 week summer program (in person tutoring at MDC Padron Campus), tutoring services are done at the most convenient location for the client (virtual via zoom, on campus, coffee shop, local library, their home, etc.) so tutors may be required to do some travel outside of their home. There are also opportunities for tutoring in person for our group test prep workshops in Miami Dade and Broward counties.
