Job Overview Join our dynamic educational team at Abby the Tutor as a K-12 Tutor / Teacher - Independent Contractor, where you will inspire and empower students across various grade levels to achieve their academic goals. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work with learners of diverse backgrounds, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs. As a vital part of our community, you will utilize your expertise in curriculum development, learning technology, and classroom management to create engaging, effective lessons that foster a love for learning. Whether working with children or adult learners, your dedication will help shape confident, capable students ready to excel in their educational journeys. Duties Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for K-12 students or adult learners. Use innovative learning technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions across various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and more. Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and respect. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to ensure mastery of concepts. Support students with special education needs by adapting lessons and employing inclusive teaching practices. Maintain clear communication with students and parents or guardians regarding progress, challenges, and achievements. Skills Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse learner needs. Proficiency in using learning technology platforms and digital educational tools. Excellent tutoring and teaching skills with the ability to motivate students of all ages. Effective classroom management techniques that foster a respectful and productive environment. Experience working with children, including preschool and early childhood education settings. Knowledge of special education strategies and accommodations for learners with unique needs. Exceptional communication skills to clearly convey concepts and provide constructive feedback. Ability to adapt instructional methods for adult education programs or childcare settings when necessary. Proven classroom experience demonstrating the ability to engage students and facilitate learning outcomes. Embark on a rewarding journey helping students unlock their full potential! Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
