Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA Department Information Academic Success Center Job Summary The Student Assistant will support the Academic Success Center as a Peer Tutor on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities Assists students by answering subject-specific questions Assists students in identifying and overcoming mechanical problems Works with students to improve problem-solving skills Assists students with a variety of class assignments including essays if applicable Works within the Academic Success Center on the Statesboro campus and virtually as assignedSubjects:
MATH, BIOL, CHEM, BCHM, PHYS, ISBA, ECON, ENGR
Shift Specifics Up to 20 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education Possess and maintain semesterly GPA of 3.0 or higher Successful completion of intended tutoring courses with a grade of "B" or better Proposed Salary $12.50 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
