We are located in Kahala Mall. Teaching locations could be our center or at schools in Honolulu. Must be available M/T/Th/F from 2:30pm and/or Wed 1:30pm. Our ideal candidate is attentive, caring, and hard-working. Salary Tutor salary ranges from $18 - 20. Tutor part-time and flexible hours. Responsibilities Educate students according to predetermined guidelines Plan, coordinate, and implement student learning plans Provide a positive and nurturing learning environment Demonstrates academic competence in subject area(s): math, test prep. Recognizes the relationship between social-emotional learning and academic performance and shows an ability to teach the "whole child." Designs and facilitates differentiated and personalized learning goals and activities that follow a coherent sequence, are aligned to instructional goals, and engage students in high-level cognitive activity. Qualifications Tutor skilled in reading, writing, test prep, math up to and including Algebra 2 and/or skilled in chemistry, physics or biology Experience working as a tutor/teacher Ability to remain patient and positive with students High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in Education or subject-matter field preferred Recent teaching experience a plus Great job if you are looking for part-time work.
