Special Education Tutor

My Tutor Anywhere is seeking an experienced Special Education teacher or interventionist to work with a 17-year-old high school student with an IEP in Buffalo Grove, IL. The primary focus of the role is helping the student complete and stay organized with assignments while also strengthening foundational academic skills and overall independence.

Position Details:

In-person tutoring in Buffalo Grove Temporary summer position: July 3 - August 14 3 sessions per week Sessions must take place before 6:00 PM Flexible scheduling within those parameters

Responsibilities:

Support the student in completing summer coursework and assignments Help with organization, task initiation, and maintaining focus Reinforce foundational reading, writing, and/or math skills as needed Build academic confidence and independence Communicate briefly with parents regarding progress when necessary

Qualifications:

Certified Special Education teacher preferred Experience working with high school students with IEPs Strong organizational and executive functioning support skills Patient, dependable, and encouraging personality Tutoring or intervention experience strongly preferred

Pay:

$55.00 per hour

License/Certification:
