In this role, you will inspire students from Kindergarten through College, helping them overcome academic challenges and build lasting confidence in mathematics. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of diverse math topics and can seamlessly adapt their teaching style to suit the student. Schedule:
Part-time (flexible, based on family needs)
Location:
In-home tutoring
Target Students:
Kindergarten through College (K-12 and undergraduate).
Target Subjects include:
General Math, Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and Business Calculus.
Position Details:
Deliver personalized individual math instruction aligned with school curricula. Simplify complex mathematical concepts into easy-to-understand lessons for varying age groups. Assess student progress, identify learning gaps, and customize lesson plans accordingly. Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and strategies. Maintain session notes and track measurable growth. Characteristics we're seeking: Minimum AA Degree (BA or Teaching Certificate preferred) in education Proven experience teaching or tutoring math across multiple grade levels (K-College) Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and build rapport with diverse learners Solid command of college-level mathematics, including calculus streams Patient, calm, and consistent demeanor Reliable transportation and punctuality for in-home sessions
