Since 2018, we have been committed to fostering student growth and confidence across a wide range of learning profiles, including neurodiverse learners and gifted students. Help a bright, motivated homeschooled student build reading, literacy, and comprehension skills in a supportive one-on-one setting. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced educator with a strong background in reading instruction and special education, particularly working with students with autism. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference through individualized, evidence-based teaching.
Location:
Naperville, IL (In-Person)
Compensation:
$45-$75 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule:
1 hour per week to start About the Student The student is continuing to develop reading, literacy, and comprehension skills in a successful one-on-one learning environment. Primary Focus Areas Reading instruction Literacy development Reading comprehension Phonics and structured literacy Building fluency and confidence Required Qualifications Reading Specialist, Reading Interventionist, or significant literacy intervention experience Special Education teaching experience Direct experience teaching students with autism Strong understanding of evidence-based reading instruction Ability to adapt instruction to individual student needs Preferred Qualifications Experience with multisensory instructional approaches Familiarity with structured literacy methodologies Experience with individualized instruction What We're Looking For We are looking for an educator who can adapt instruction based on the student's learning profile and build a positive, engaging learning relationship.
