About Eye Level Eye Level is an internationally recognized supplemental education program helping students build strong foundations in Math and English Language Arts. Our self-paced, student-centered approach empowers kids to develop confidence, critical thinking, and a love of learning — one step at a time. The Role We're looking for a patient, motivated, and reliable part-time Math Instructor/Tutor to join our Eye Level Vernon Hills team. You'll work one-on-one and in small groups with students ranging from elementary through middle school, guiding them through our structured Math and ELA curriculum. This is a great opportunity for education students, certified teachers, or anyone with a passion for working with kids in a supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Guide students through Eye Level's self-paced Math and/or English curriculum Monitor student progress and provide encouragement and feedback Maintain a positive, focused learning environment Communicate with center director regarding student performance as needed Complete light administrative tasks related to student materials What We're Looking For Experience working with K-8 students (tutoring, teaching, childcare, coaching, etc.) Strong foundation in elementary/middle school Math and English Patient, encouraging, and dependable Ability to multitask and manage a small group of students simultaneously College degree or currently pursuing a degree in Education or related field preferred, but not required Schedule & Hours Current availability: Mondays & Thursdays, 4:00-7:00 PM Potential for additional days/hours as the center grows Ideal for candidates looking for consistent part-time work with a flexible, student-focused schedule Compensation $17-$22/hr depending on experience Negotiable for the right candidate Eye Level Vernon Hills is an equal opportunity employer.
