Zoneton Middle School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered ISAP Tutor to support academic success and positive student growth. The ideal candidate will help provide a structured, quiet learning environment while building strong relationships with students through restorative practices and encouragement. Mission Our mission is to empower students who embrace diversity, value learning, and positively impact the community. Responsibilities Provide academic support and tutoring to students assigned to ISAP. Maintain a quiet, structured, and productive learning environment. Support students in completing assignments and staying engaged in learning. Use restorative justice practices to build relationships, address conflict, and support student accountability. Encourage positive behavior, respect, and problem-solving skills. Communicate effectively with teachers and administrators regarding student progress and needs. Help students reflect on choices and develop strategies for future success.

Position Details Hours:

6.5 hours per day (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Contract Length:

183 days per year 170 student instructional days 4 holidays 7 planning days 2 extended days

Contract Adjustments:

Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date

Education:

Must have at least 64 college credits and a 2.5 GPA.

Documentation:

Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire. Compensation & Experience Credit 2026-2027 Pay Scale Starting Pay (Step 0): $24.63/hour Experienced Pay (Step 10): $26.97/hour We value experience! Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired. New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.

Payroll Note:

While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.

Salary Formula:
