Overview:

Join the SHS Tutoring Center team and make a difference in students' academic success! Tutors provide one-on-one and small-group support in a friendly, collaborative environment. You'll help students across a range of subjects, with opportunities to focus on writing, reading, and/or math.

Roles & Responsibilities:

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others learn, building relationships, and fostering a positive learning environment. In this role, you will: Provide academic support to students in individual and small-group settings. Write brief session reports to track student progress. Help promote the Tutoring Center to the school community. Assist with daily operations to keep the center running smoothly. Position Details•

Hours:

Part-Time, Flexible within SHS Tutoring Center hours (Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM)

Compensation:

Hourly, commensurate with qualifications and experience Supervisor

Qualifications:

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow schedule and program requirements. Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others. Comfort assisting in writing and/or math, guiding students through problem-solving and assignments. Previous tutoring experience, familiarity with tutoring strategies and best practices, and experience working in a high school setting preferred. Current SHS students and staff are encouraged to apply. Requirements Ability to collaborate in a team environment. Familiarity with general academic subjects. Advanced proficiency in writing, reading, and/or math is a plus.
