Lead Tutor/ Deputy Director of Education Fort Washington United Fort Washington, MD Job Details Part-time | Full-time $17 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Mathematics tutoring Youth academic support program facilitation Math Instructional leadership in education Leadership Full Job Description We are looking for a head tutor and deputy director of education at a martial arts and education center in Fort Washington. This person should have a very good STEM background, not necessarily an education background. The best candidates, for us, are usually just leaving high school and are transitioning to a local college and preparing for a University at a later date. But, all are welcome to apply!
This job offers:
Flexible Hours Free Martial Arts Training Leadership/Teaching experience Letter of Recommendation for future schooling or internships. Teaching Experience Curriculum Design Experience During the school year, the job is 2-7pm generally (about 20-25 hours per week). In the summer, the hours are closer to 35 per week, with enrichment instruction, field trips and academic instruction. The program consists of approximately 23 kids, and younger tutors are present to assist with academics (specifically math and reading). This is a great job for someone who really wants to be part of a team, and wants to impact their community!
