Evaluation Procedures:

Student workers are evaluated on a continuous basis.

Scope:

Assisting students with all kinds of writing and composition projects. This position is eligible to continue for the next academic year.

Responsibilities:

Tutor students who visit the Writing Center Maintain Writing Center resources, materials, and records Support the Writing Center's mission of promoting a culture of creativity and learning on campus

Requirements:

Current undergraduate student at McDaniel College. Completion of

ENG 1101

(or other writing-intensive course) Completion of 12-credits at McDaniel College Current undergraduate at McDaniel College Recommendation of McDaniel College Faculty GPA of 2.75 or higher Interview Participation in an unpaid 4-credit practicum class (ENG 2218) to prepare them for Writing Center work

Physical Characteristics:

Sitting for an hour or two at a time Looking at computer screens for three to four hours at a time
