High School Math & Science Tutor

Summary:

To provide customized supplemental educational programming and tutoring to math(and possibly science) students grades 6 and above. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly to enhance understanding. Utilize learning technology and educational resources to facilitate engaging and effective lessons. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence. Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with students and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet students cheerfully as they enter and exit the instructional area, calling them by name and showing genuine interest in them as individuals Provide effective table management techniques to ensure that the 2-3 students assigned are getting equal instructional time Evaluates progress of each student by documenting scores on activities and noting observations of student's motivation/frustration levels with the material presented Adhering to the Sylvan Motivational Program by providing positive praise and Sylvan tokens for completing assignments. Providing effective feedback to students so that they are learning from their mistakes Join us in making a difference in the lives of our students by providing them with the tools they need to succeed academically!
