• Mathnasium of Summit, Livingston, Chatham, Westfield & Basking Ridge, NJ This is a year-round position — please read before applying We stay busy all year — summers included — and we're looking for instructors who want to grow with us beyond a single season.

Students and families get to know the instructors at their center over time, and that familiarity is a real part of what makes Mathnasium work. Instructors who stick around become trusted, recognizable faces — and that consistency matters to the kids we serve. We need people committed to at least 6 months of continuous work. If you're a university student, our afternoon and evening shifts can fit around your own class schedule, making this one of the few part-time jobs that works just as well during the semester as it does over the summer. If you're looking for summer work only, this role isn't the right fit. Every student has a math story. Help them write a better one. At Mathnasium, we don't just teach math — we change how kids feel about it. Using our proven Mathnasium Method™, our tutors help students in grades 1-12 build real understanding, genuine confidence, and skills that last. We're hiring part-time tutors across five New Jersey locations, and we'd love to find someone who's as excited about math as we are. What You'll Do Deliver personalized instruction using the Mathnasium curriculum Create a warm, encouraging environment where students feel safe to struggle and succeed Track student progress and communicate wins and challenges to the center team Collaborate with center staff to make sure every student is moving forward Who thrives here Strong math skills — comfort through Algebra I is required; higher-level math is a plus A patient, encouraging teaching style that meets students where they are Reliable and consistent — students and families notice when familiar instructors show up regularly Looking for steady, ongoing part-time work — not just a seasonal gap-filler Prior tutoring or teaching experience is helpful, but not required — we train you Schedule & hours Sunday

• Thursday 3:00 pm
• ~7:15 pm, Saturday 10:00 am
• ~1:15 pm Minimum commitment is 2 shifts / week Days are flexible based on your availability and center needs Typical weekly hours about 12-20 hrs/week More hours available to instructors who can work across two or more locations

Pay Starting Pay:

Currently enrolled university students $18/hr, University graduates $19/hr.

Pay Advancement:

Based on demonstrated performance and math proficiency Requirements Able to commute reliably to at least one of our five NJ locations — fully in-person role Available for a minimum of 2 shifts per week and able to commit for at least 6 months continuously Seeking year-round, ongoing work — not summer-only employment Eligible to work in the
