Various High Schools around Albuquerque, New Mexico An Off-Campus Work-Study Position•MUST have a Work Study Award This is an off-campus work study position with the LNESC Upward Bound Program at various high schools around Albuquerque, New Mexico. The student will work on a one-to-one or in a group setting to mentor/tutor students grades 9-12 in science and math. Days of position are Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM•4:30 PM. Upward Bound provides tutoring and mentoring services to help the students at Albuquerque High Schools succeed in various subjects. Tutor/Mentor will assist students with their coursework in Mathematics (Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Calculus) and Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) Tutor/mentor is expected to act as a mentor and model leadership behaviors for participating students.

Daily Activities and Expectations Include:

Provide structured learning experiences during after school hours Assist students with homework Ensure proper documentation of each session is filled out Minimum Qualifications Equivalencies not found for this position Preferred Qualifications Student must be able to work in a team, have good communication skills, leadership skills, motivated, a self-starter, be creative, and have a love for learning. Student must have a work-study award for 2025•2026 academic year. Bilingual preferred. Must be able to pass an Albuquerque Public School background check. APS will provide the pass/fail result.
