About the student rising 2nd grade student The student needs to work with a tutor for support in ELA and math. The student is a rising 2nd grader attending Rosarian Academy. The student is performing fairly well overall and is generally on par with other students in her grade. While she is keeping up academically, reading is currently an area where she is slightly behind compared to her performance in other subjects. Mom noted that math is one of the student's stronger subjects, and the family is seeking tutoring support primarily to strengthen her reading skills and help her continue progressing confidently. The goals are to build the student's confidence in her reading abilities and strengthen her reading skills and ensure she is well prepared for future academic demands and continues making steady progress in both reading and math. The family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week, between 10am-7pm, any day of the week Monday through Sunday. After June 29th the availability will change and tutor will need to be available for 1 hour sessions 2 times a week between 5pm-7pm any day of the week. The family is seeking a tutor who can meet at their home in East Hampton near Northwest Harbor not far from the Elaine De Kooning Historic Marker. Qualifications Ideal candidates have prior experience working with elementary students. Ideal candidates will have prior experience teaching elementary ELA & math. Ideal candidates will have a teaching certification. Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles) Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor. Student Availability MON-SUN (7 days a week): 10:00am-7:00pm -for now ---after June 29th: MON-SUN (7 days a week): 5:00pm-7:00pm Pay & Benefits $35.00+ per hour Flexible schedule - choose sessions that fit your availability Professional independence - use your own materials and teaching methods Easy-to-use platform available for logging sessions and invoicing Due to insurance requirements applicants must not be a minor.
