St. Vincent de Paul School Catholic Diocese of Cleveland - 4.7 Akron, OH Job Details Full-time $14.50 - $15.50 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description St. Vincent de Paul School - Akron St. Vincent de Paul Parish School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Educational Aide to support middle school students receiving services through the Jon Peterson Scholarship Program. This individual will work closely with the Intervention Specialist and classroom teachers to provide personalized academic support, promote student success, and help foster a positive, faith-filled learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with individual students and small groups to provide targeted academic support and reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist in implementing accommodations, modifications, and individualized learning plans under the direction of the Intervention Specialist and classroom teachers.
  • Support students in developing academic, organizational, self-advocacy, and social-emotional skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet the diverse needs of learners in grades 5-8.
  • Help maintain a structured, positive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence.
  • Encourage student confidence, perseverance, and responsibility through positive interactions and support.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and educational records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; associate degree or college coursework in education or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates patience, flexibility, and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential.
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Catholic education.
