Job Description
English Tutor We are seeking a patient and qualified English Tutor to join our team in Akron. As an English Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one or small group instruction to students of all ages and levels. Your main goal will be to help students improve their English language skills in a fun and engaging way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare individualized lessons based on the needs and goals of each student
- Assess students' current proficiency level and track their progress over time
- Use a variety of teaching techniques and materials to make lessons interactive and interesting
- Provide guidance and support to help students develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
- Incorporate cultural aspects into lessons to enhance understanding of the language
- Communicate with parents or guardians about their child's progress on a regular basis
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field preferred
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in working with students of different ages and backgrounds
