Responsibilities Deliver engaging one-on-one or group tutoring sessions focused on advanced math topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, and statistics. Develop tailored lesson plans that align with individual student goals and curriculum standards while incorporating cutting-edge learning technology tools. Use programs such as Freckle to build on student understanding. Assess student progress regularly through assessments and adapt instructional strategies accordingly to maximize understanding and retention. Utilize classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment that encourages participation, curiosity, and confidence. Collaborate with parents, teachers, or guardians to communicate student progress and recommend strategies for continued growth outside tutoring sessions. Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student achievements, and areas needing improvement to inform ongoing instruction. Stay current with advancements in math education methodologies to enhance teaching effectiveness. Qualifications Proven expertise in advanced mathematics subjects including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, differential equations, discrete math, and higher education teaching experience. Experience working with children of various ages and backgrounds in classroom or tutoring settings. Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content tailored to individual learner needs using innovative learning technology platforms. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students of different ages and levels of understanding as well as parents or guardians. Knowledge of classroom management techniques suitable for both virtual and in-person environments. Proficiency in computer skills necessary for lesson planning and utilizing educational software tools.
