Critical Care Nursing Professional Tutor Carlow University - 4.5 Pittsburgh, PA Job Details 18 hours ago Full Job Description Carlow University is seeking a part-time Critical Care Nursing Professional Tutor to support students within the undergraduate nursing program . This position provides academic assistance to nursing students through individual tutoring, study sessions, and collaborative academic support initiatives. The tutor will work closely with faculty and university staff to help students strengthen comprehension of critical care nursing concepts and promote academic success. This role is allocated up to 8 hours per week and may include both in-person and online support opportunities. Essential Functions Facilitate weekly study sessions for designated nursing courses, offering both in-person and virtual options. Provide one-on-one tutoring appointments for nursing students requiring additional academic support in critical care content areas. Collaborate with Department of Nursing faculty to lead, plan, and develop study materials and supplemental learning resources for designated courses. Attend required tutor trainings and meetings. Complete and manage all necessary documentation and paperwork related to tutoring services. Maintain strong and consistent communication with academic support staff and nursing faculty. Tutor students in accordance with university policies, procedures, and tutor training guidelines. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Professional experience in critical care nursing required. Current nursing licensure required. Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or academic support experience preferred. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations in both virtual and in-person settings. Commitment to student success and collaborative learning environments.
