Position Overview We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable Academic Tutors to support middle and high school students in the following subjects: Mathematics (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I/II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics) Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, AP Science Courses) English Language Arts Reading Comprehension & Critical Reading Academic Writing & Essay Development History (World History, U.S. History, AP History) Tutors will work one-on-one or in small groups to strengthen students' academic performance, build confidence, and develop strong study habits and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities Provide engaging and personalized tutoring sessions Support students in Math, Science, English, and History coursework Help students improve reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and writing skills Assist with homework, projects, quizzes, tests, and AP exam preparation Teach effective study habits, organization, and time-management skills Track student progress and communicate updates to parents and program staff Create a positive, supportive, and motivating learning environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree or current enrollment at an accredited university Strong academic background in one or more of the following areas: Math, Science, English, Reading, Writing, or History Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or coaching experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Passion for helping students achieve their academic goals Experience with Honors, AP, IB, or college-preparatory coursework is a plus Preferred Candidates Current or former teachers Graduate students Students or alumni from top universities STEM majors and Humanities majors with strong academic records Individuals with experience in educational consulting, academic coaching, or college admissions preparation Compensation Competitive hourly compensation based on qualifications, subject expertise, and experience.
