The mission of Pegasus Test Prep is to equip and motivate students to unlock these opportunities by testing at their fullest potential. ____ As a Test Prep Instructor with Pegasus Test Prep, you will help students achieve their goals by building meaningful relationships, providing expert instruction on admissions exams, and helping students develop the skills necessary to test at their fullest potential. In addition to receiving one of the highest compensations of any tutoring company in Dallas, you will enjoy the flexibility of setting your own schedule each week. In partnering with Pegasus, you will be joining the ranks of the city's finest admissions exam tutors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet and work with students during weekly one-on-one sessions (role requires driving to a student's residence or a nearby public library and occasional virtual sessions) Teach students commonly tested concepts found in the ACT, SAT, and/or PSAT (Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and Science) Communicate regularly with students and families to schedule sessions and discuss student goals and progress Check in periodically with Director to report on student performance Submit accurate monthly log of completed sessions for invoicing and payroll

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (though rising seniors in last year of degree program are encouraged to still apply)

Required:

1-2 years of ACT/SAT tutoring experience within the last 1-2 years (due to recent changes in exam)

Required:

Must be familiar with new computer-based versions of the

ACT/SAT Preferred:

National Merit recognition and/or stellar ACT/SAT scores

MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS

Required:

Means of transportation to get to session locations

Required:

Access to a computer with videoconferencing capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS

In order to be successful in this role, you must be able to: Build meaningful relationships with students and families as a foundation to learning Set ambitious goals for your students and work with students to reach them Explain challenging concepts to students using a variety of methods and approaches Provide frequent and consistent feedback to students to accelerate progress

INTERVIEW

Videoconference interview required Candidate must prepare 5-10 minute ACT/SAT mock lesson

COMPENSATION

Pegasus Test Prep offers a highly competitive compensation rate in all of Dallas. We pay our instructors well because we trust that the best tutors will achieve the best results, and we believe in rewarding talent. Our instructors start at $55/hour and may receive hourly-rate increases based on additional experience and proven results.
