Director Of History /
Founding Tutor Company:
Always There Tutoring, LLC Location:
Essex County, MA; virtual sessions available; in-person sessions may be held at approved local libraries or other approved locations
Job Type:
Part-time, W-2, non-exempt
Pay:
$30/hr for approved Director/admin duties. Tutoring compensation is paid under the Company's commission-based service pay structure, with a 10 percentage point Founding Tutor enhancement where commission-based pay applies. Always There Tutoring is seeking a Director of History / Founding Tutor to help build and guide our history and social science tutoring services for Essex County families. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who can tutor students directly while also helping shape instructional quality, support other tutors, review lesson quality, and advise the Company on history/social science curriculum, student placement, and service development. Responsibilities Provide high-quality history/social science tutoring to students. Help develop and improve history/social science tutoring offerings. Support, mentor, and guide history/social science tutors as the team grows. Review lesson quality, instructional materials, and student-support approaches. Advise management on student placement, subject fit, curriculum direction, and policy questions related to history/social science. Maintain professional communication, confidentiality, student safety, and Company documentation standards. Qualifications Teaching, tutoring, or curriculum experience in history, social studies, civics, government, humanities, or related areas. Strong communication and parent-facing professionalism. Ability to support students with patience, structure, and academic integrity. Comfortable working in a growing tutoring company where expectations and projects may evolve. Must complete required onboarding and background-check processes.
Pay:
$30.00 - $70.00 per hour
