As a private tutor, you will work independently with students, offering in-person instruction and guidance in various subjects.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one in-person tutoring sessions to students based on their individual needs and academic goals. Develop and implement personalized lesson plans and teaching strategies. Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to tailor instruction accordingly. Help students improve their study skills, organization, and time management. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to students, parents and Learning Tree Tutors. Collaborate with parents and teachers to create a supportive learning environment. Stay updated on the latest educational techniques and resources.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children, preferably in a tutoring or teaching role at any level k-12th grade. Excellent knowledge of the subjects/level you will be tutoring (e.g., math, ELA, science, social studies, etc.). Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students and parents. Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles. Reliable transportation to travel to students' homes or agreed-upon meeting locations within Dallas. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on students' schedules. Access to a computer and internet connection for occasional remote work (e.g., lesson planning, communication with parents, etc.).
