Job Description

Duties:
  • Provide one-on-one and/or small group tutoring sessions to students in upper math courses, specifically Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry Pre-Cal, Calculus, SAT prep. Physics & Chemistry knowledge a plus!
  • Assist students in grades 6 grade
  • early college with homework assignments and teach them how to use notes to complete assignments.
  • Guide students through organization and study skills strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to director.
  • Incorporate interactive and engaging activities to enhance student learning.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education needs or learning differences.
Required Qualifications:
background check Expertise in noted subject area Experience working with children ages 11-20
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, content area, and/or a related field
  • Experience working with children in a tutoring or classroom setting
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students of all ages.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and strategies is a plus.
