  • 22 per hour About Us The Learning Lab of Brentwood is a premier educational support center serving students throughout Middle Tennessee.
We provide individualized tutoring, academic coaching, test preparation, and enrichment services designed to help students build confidence and achieve their goals. We are currently seeking a passionate and engaging Lower School Reading & Math Tutor to join our team. Position Overview The ideal candidate enjoys working with elementary-aged students and is committed to creating a positive, encouraging learning environment. Tutors work one-on-one with students to strengthen foundational reading and math skills while helping students develop confidence and independence as learners. Responsibilities Provide individualized reading and math instruction to students in grades K-5 Implement tutoring plans based on student needs and goals Support foundational reading skills, including phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary development Support elementary math concepts, including number sense, computation, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment Communicate student progress and observations to Learning Lab staff Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled tutoring sessions Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Education or related field preferred) Teaching license preferred but not required Previous experience working with elementary-aged students Strong understanding of elementary reading and math concepts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships with students and families Passion for helping students succeed Schedule Part-time Afternoon and evening availability preferred Flexible scheduling based on student demand Compensation $19
