Description Mechanical Engineering Tutor The Mechanical Engineering department in the Raymond B. Jones College of Engineering is searching for upper-level students to hold regular tutoring sessions for their student peers. Student tutors will be expected to show excellence in entry-level mechanical engineering courses such as Calculus, Physics, Statics, Dynamics, and others in order to succeed in this role. Students will be required to participate in training before starting the position. Other responsibilities include reporting hours, documenting tutoring sessions, etc. Applicants must have shown strong academic performance or have a strong recommendation from a current professor. Strong academic performance includes a GPA of 3.2 (or higher) and/or a B average (or better) in engineering courses. Applicants must be actively enrolled in engineering courses at Lipscomb University. May be eligible for Federal Work Study.
