Experience instructing students in a classroom environment
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Provide direct instruction to assigned students.
Plan for lessons to be taught in small or individual groups.
Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media consistent with the needs and capabilities of the student groups involved.
Analyze individual student progress and data to make instructional decisions.
Develop and maintains resources to support the students.
Establish and maintain effective classroom management and administer discipline in accordance with board policies, administrative regulations, and campus management plans.
Participate in training and staff development as needed.
Establish with students a rapport that is friendly, but not familiar.
Present for students a positive role model that supports the mission of the school district.
Keep the teacher informed of student progress.
Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members through effective communication both verbally and written.
Use acceptable communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
Keep the teacher informed of interactions with students.
Be flexible in working with all students.
Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
