2-3 days per week | Sunday-Thursday | After-school & evening hours Must-Have Qualifications (Please read before applying) To be considered, you must have: Latin, Classical Studies, or related major or minor Formal teaching or tutoring experience in Latin Strong mastery of Latin grammar and syntax Availability through at least June 4, 2026 Reliable transportation for in-person tutoring in Houston Applicants who can continue through Summer 2026 and the 2026-2027 academic year will be given priority. About the Role Kscholastic is seeking knowledgeable, dedicated High School Latin Tutors to join our academic team. Our tutors work one-on-one with students to strengthen foundational skills, improve academic performance, and build confidence in classical language studies. We employ college students, graduate students, PhD candidates, certified teachers, and experienced educators who are passionate about teaching and learning. This is an in-person position serving students throughout the Houston area. Responsibilities Tutor high school students in Latin (all levels) Teach complex grammar and syntax concepts, including: Declensions and conjugations, Sentence structure and translation techniques, Vocabulary development and reading comprehension Build personalized lesson plans based on individual student needs Improve student confidence, grades, and long-term academic skills Communicate progress with Kscholastic staff and families

Required Skills & Experience Required:

Latin, Classical Studies, or related major or minor Prior experience teaching or tutoring Latin Strong formal understanding of Latin grammar Excellent communication skills Reliable transportation and punctuality
