We've spent almost six years helping struggling learners, and we're expanding into general education support. The Role This is a very part-time 1099 contract role built around two in-person days each week (5-8 hours total), starting August 2026 and running through the school year. Summer work is optional. Fridays (in person, Timberwood Park area): Lead a small homeschool group of four students in grades K-4. The day is a mix of teaching from a provided curriculum (Gather 'Round unit studies), hands-on STEM activities, and one-on-one homework help. About 2-4 hours; you can set your hours in the morning or early afternoon. One weekday (in person, flexible day): Another 3-4 hours of one-on-one tutoring and homework support. We can discuss which day works best. As we bring in new students, there may be opportunities to pick up additional virtual tutoring hours over Zoom, if you're interested and available. What We Offer

• A valid teaching certificate or license (any state)
• Current or prior teaching at an accredited school
• Teaching or tutoring experience at a college or university
• Texas certification is preferred but not required.

Also required:

local to the San Antonio / Stone Oak / Bulverde area (both days are in person), and comfortable with variety: Gather Round unit studies, STEM activities, homework help, and general tutoring across K-4 and up. Experience with neurodivergent learners (ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia) is a big plus. This contract is contingent on a fingerprint-based criminal background check, completed prior to your start date (a TEFA program requirement).
