Job Description

Academic Coach/Tutor The Academic Coach/Tutor position at Thorup Tutoring is split up into two categories: Elementary School Tutor & Middle School/High School Tutor. We are currently looking for applicants in the Elementary School category . We are seeking people who are highly motivated, smart, and organized. Our services take place in-person and occasionally via an online platform.
Responsibilities:
Manage and educate students in a one on one setting Establish academic goals and milestones with students Document and communicate progress reports Provide constructive feedback for students Communicate progress and/or concerns with parents and management
Qualifications:
Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or other related fields is preferred Ability to build rapport with students and parents Sufficient knowledge of core educational subjects Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be able to tutor children up through 5th grade math
Overview and Expectations:
A minimum of 1 full school year is preferred but not required (mid-August - end of May)
Training:
12-15 hours Background check is required
Compensation:
