Job Summary Are you an engaging educator who loves helping students find their voice in literature and writing? Lumi Education is seeking a passionate, reliable, and communicative English Tutor to work 1:1 with Middle and High School students. This role offers ultimate flexibility— you design your own schedule and decide your own work timings. If you are a self-starter who knows how to make learning fun, adapt to different learning styles, and build strong relationships with families, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities 1:1

Personalized Instruction:

Deliver tailored English lessons to Middle and High School students, customizing your learning style and pace to match each student's unique needs.

Curriculum & Lesson Planning:

Develop creative, relevant lesson plans that support student growth in reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, and test prep.

Progress Tracking:

Assess student progress regularly and dynamically adjust teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes.

Engaging Teaching:

Utilize learning technology tools to facilitate interactive, modern, and engaging lessons.

Proactive Communication:

Maintain clear and timely communication with students, parents, and the Lumi Education Office regarding progress, scheduling, and feedback.

Qualifications & Requirements Education:

Minimum of an Associate degree required (Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a education/English program is a plus).

Experience:

At least 1 year of experience working with children or teenagers (tutoring, teaching, coaching, or camp counseling).

Special Education:

Experience working with Special Education students is a huge plus!

Tech-Savvy:

Comfortable using learning technology tools to enhance lessons.

Soft Skills:

Highly engaging personality with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Transportation:

Must have reliable, independent transportation.
