Teachers-(Certified) $25.50/hr (Hourly Rate-No Benefits Included) Degreed (Bachelor's or Higher): $20.40/hr

Position Title Math Tutor Description To assist the teacher in achieving instructional objectives by working with students to help them achieve required skill levels Reports To Building Principal Qualifications Teacher certification and/or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Associate degree or college credit, High School Diploma, GED required. Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates ability to supervise and instruct students. Performance Responsibilities Teach small groups as assigned using required materials (adapted to specific groups/subjects) in different parts of the room or in different locations around the school. Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills. Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work. Maintain high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students. Monitor student academic performance. Participate in in-service training as required. Perform other duties as assigned by building administrators or teacher. Physical Requirements Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone and to enter data into a computer. See and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids. Hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors and on the telephone. Speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds and the ability to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead. Some teaching specialties (i.e., music, art, physical education, etc.) may require hearing, vision, and physical coordination and/or exertion and effort more than those listed above. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential tasks. Terms of Employment Part-time/Hourly As per the Work Agreement issued.
