Academic Tutor

Academic Tutor (Hybrid) - College Admissions & Academic Support We are seeking a motivated and experienced Academic Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will work directly with students in 1:1 and small group settings, supporting both academic development and college admissions preparation. Responsibilities Conduct 1:1 and small group tutoring sessions with students Support students in academic skill-building and learning execution Provide guidance related to college admissions preparation Track student progress and communicate updates as needed Collaborate with internal team to ensure consistent student support Requirements Prior experience in academic tutoring (required) Experience in college admissions consulting (preferred) Experience working with high school students strongly preferred Strong communication and mentoring skills Ability to independently manage student sessions Preferred Qualifications Background in education, tutoring, counseling, or college admissions Experience working with high school curriculum or college-prep students Strong organizational and student management skills Work Arrangement Hybrid position (in-office attendance required on a regular basis) Candidates should be based within reasonable commuting distance of our office Preferred working hours: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM (evenings) A probation/training period will be required for a specified duration Work schedule may be further adjusted and discussed after the initial period How to Apply Applicants may apply directly through Indeed, or send their resume to hrt@jbessay.com .
