Part-Time Tutor at
THE TUTORIAL CENTER
in BENNINGTON, Vermont, United States Job Description The Tutorial Center is looking for part-time tutors to join our supportive learning community in Bennington and Manchester, Vermont. This is a wonderful opportunity for people who enjoy helping others learn and grow while sharing their own skills and knowledge. Our students range from elementary school age through adults, in all subject areas. Tutoring opportunities arise throughout the year as students work toward their goals and new learners join our programs. Because of this, tutoring roles are typically short-term and flexible, making them a great fit for people with varied schedules. We welcome community members who are patient, encouraging, and excited about supporting learners on their educational journeys. Responsibilities include: Assist students in transitioning into educational classes, career pathways, employment opportunities, or post-secondary education. Provide individual or small group tutoring. Build trusting, respectful, and caring relationships with students and staff. Help ensure that every student is in a comfortable, safe, and welcoming learning environment that supports their goals. Support students in identifying barriers, setting achievable benchmarks, and developing strategies that promote persistence, learning, and class attendance. Solicit and document student feedback to help improve instruction, program structures, and processes. Additional Details Hours vary depending on student needs. Positions are part-time and flexible.
