STEAM-Focused Private Tutor & Educational Mentor About the Role We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and tech-savvy tutor to join our family's "education team." Our kids are deeply curious about the world and are particularly energized by STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). We aren't just looking for someone to check off worksheets; we want a mentor who can ignite a passion for discovery and help our kids develop the "skills of the future."

The Focus STEAM Enrichment:

Beyond standard curriculum, we want someone who can introduce hands-on projects—think robotics, basic coding, science experiments, or digital art.

Critical Thinking:

Helping the kids move beyond "what" to "why" and "how."

Organization & Study Habits:

Teaching them the executive functioning skills (planning, time management, and focus) that will serve them for a lifetime.

Holistic Growth:

Incorporating outdoor exploration, physical activity, or creative writing to ensure a well-rounded educational experience. What You'll Do Create customized lesson plans that align with our kids' specific interests and school goals. Bridge the gap between traditional schoolwork and real-world application. Identify "educational gaps" and turn them into strengths through patient, innovative teaching methods. Communicate regularly with us about progress, challenges, and new areas of interest. Who You Are The "Cool Scientist/Artist": You make learning feel like an adventure. You are energetic, patient, and truly enjoy seeing a child have an "Aha!" moment.

Expertly Versatile:

You have a strong background in science or math but are equally comfortable helping with a history essay or a creative project.

Tech-Fluent:

You know how to use digital tools (iPad apps, educational software, etc.) as a force for good in learning.

Safe & Professional:

You have a clean driving record, a background check you're proud of, and reliable transportation.

Pay:

$20.00 - $40.75 per hour
